Starmall introduces A New Kind of Christmas to customers this 2020

The year 2020 has brought about a multitude of changes—the new normal has forced people to shift to a new lifestyle, develop new routines, and most importantly, see things with a new perspective. 2020 has been a challenging year for most and now that the year is coming to an end, people should consider looking at things differently instead of recounting all the what-if’s and could-be’s. Life goes on and one has to make an important choice—get stuck with how things used to be or move forward and embrace how things could be. With Christmas being such a big deal for Filipinos, it is understandable to be upset over not being able to observe the traditions Filipinos grew up with. However, it is important to recognize that this doesn’t mean Christmas is cancelled. This year, Filipinos can come to discover “A New Kind of Christmas” and cherish every moment that they still have with their family and friends—whether it be together or safely apart.

Under community quarantine, movement is still extremely limited; curfew is still in place, establishments needing to comply with a designated maximum capacity for their stores, and those under 15 and over 65 still not being allowed outside. For Filipinos, Christmas is the season of giving, and the season of giving means it is also the season for shopping. However, given these restrictions, shopping during this time can be particularly challenging. Which is why Vista Mall and Starmall continue to offer their personal shopper services for those who are having difficulties shopping. The malls’ personal shopper services allow for customers to shop while being safe—just call or send a Viber message to the malls’ ShopBuddy hotlines to inquire or purchase. Customers can buy from any establishment inside their nearest Vista Mall and can order from up to 3 stores, no minimum order required, guaranteed no shopper’s fees. Shopped items can be delivered on the same day or on a predetermined date by Vista Mall and Starmall’s logistics partner—GetAll.

While this season is known for bringing people into the mall to shop, it is also a fact that families come to malls at Christmas time because of the magical and unique experiences especially prepared for the kids. After all, Christmas is really all about children. With the current restrictions on minors being implemented, Vista Mall and Starmall came up with a safe way for kids to still enjoy Christmas Traditions that they usually go to the malls for. Vista Mall and Starmall introduce “Once Upon A Holiday: A New Kind of Christmas”. This Holiday Special allows kids to see and interact with Santa Claus and special surprise characters through a virtual party that the malls will be hosting online. There will be two show dates, allowing for more children to experience the magic of Christmas while in the comfort and safety of their homes. The first show date commenced last December 13 while final show date is scheduled on December 20. More information on this special event is available at the official Facebook pages of Vista Mall, Starmall, and Vista Lifestyle Centers, NOMO and Evia.

During this time, Vista Mall and Starmall will be observing modified operating hours to allow shoppers enough time to purchase their essentials for the holiday season while also ensuring that mall personnel will be able to celebrate the special season with their families. Customers are strongly advised to plan their shopping trips in advance to avoid any inconvenience. Complete mall hours are available at the malls’ corporate social media pages, facebook.com/vistamallofficial and facebook.com/StarmallOfficial

Vista Mall and Starmall’s Give Hope Project extends help to those affected by Typhoon Ulysses in Rizal

November 26, 2020, Province of Rizal—Vista Mall and Starmall, led by the Regional Operations Head of Vista Mall, Ms. Florence Bernardo, handed over a thousand packs of relief goods to the affected residents of Rizal. The donation and its turn-over were made possible through the help and guidance of the local government unit of Rizal. The relief packs were officially received personally by Vice Governor Rey San Juan.

The relief packs include rice, canned goods, coffee, and a hygiene kit. Each kit is good enough for two persons. These goods were pooled through the donation of Vista Mall, Starmall, and their tenants who volunteered to sponsor goods as well. These relief packs are intended for those who were severely affected by the flooding brought about by Typhoon Ulysses and were distributed to families from Brgy. San Jose, Montalban, Rizal.

The initial donation is part of Vista Mall and Starmall’s Give Hope Project. This campaign is the malls’ response to help the growing number of families affected by Typhoons Rolly, Siony, and Ulysses. Give Hope Project is a donation drive that enlists the support of Vista Mall and Starmall’s employees, partners, and customers. Donation booths are made available at the common areas of all Vista Malls, Starmalls, and Vista Lifestyle Centers, NOMO and Evia.

Vista Mall and Starmall encourage their customers from all over the country to send in their donations no matter the size or quantity. The goal in setting up the donation drive is to empower the communities these malls are a part of by providing them with an avenue to extend their help and support to those in need—without having to consider location or logistics, without the need to identify themselves, just drop off donations, whatever size and quantity they can, and the malls will take care of the rest.

Donations in the form of the following are accepted: cash, new clothes, bottled water, canned goods, medicine, sanitary products, and other essential supplies.

The next wave of donations that will be collected from the different malls will be turned over to the local government unit of Naga, for the benefit of those affected by the recent typhoons. Have your EasyTrip RFID installed at a Vista Mall or Starmall near you from November 16-30, 2020

With full transition to cashless transactions at tolls scheduled to begin on December 1 this year, lots of car owners have started flocking to RFID installation sites to make it to the deadline. With the date fast approaching, the need for additional testing sites especially at less accessible locations has risen.

To help ease congestion at installation sites and make the process more convenient for those living in the South, Vista Mall and Starmall has partnered with EasyTrip to set up temporary installation sites at the following locations from 9AM to 4PM during these dates:

Vista Mall Kawit                               Nov 16-18, 2020
Vista Mall Global South                  Nov 19-21, 2020

Starmalls introduce safer, more secure way of collecting health information from customers

To facilitate a safer way of collecting the health declaration information of its customers, Vista Mall has begun installation of QR codes in all entrances of its malls instead of providing manual forms. The shift was initially introduced to its premium shopping center, Evia Lifestyle Center at Vista Alabang, and is expected to be completely rolled out to all Vista Malls and Starmalls by October 3, Saturday.

When scanned, the QR codes will redirect customers to Vista Mall’s online contact tracing form where they are required to input their personal information and answer questions regarding their state of health. The online form is guaranteed user-friendly and can be easily filled out. Since data collection is automated, this ensures that every customer’s complete information is collected and readily available to aid in the proper contact tracing of authorities.

The benefits of shifting to electronic data collection goes beyond the obvious which is lessened physical contact between customers and employees manning the entrances. With the electronic collection of customers’ data, Vista Mall can easily manage the information with a few clicks on a computer—making management, compilation, and retrieval of necessary information quick and easy. Customers can be assured that their information will be kept private and can only be accessed by authorized parties, should the need arise.

As the country continues to navigate the new normal, Vista Mall is working round the clock to make sure that its tenants, partners, and customers are all guided accordingly as the management continuously reviews and improves its safety and health protocols.

With community quarantine regulations easing up, Vista Mall has reported a steady increase in the number of mallgoers nowadays. Thus, Vista Mall has stepped up its efforts to continue providing a safe and pleasant shopping and dining experience for its patrons. Physical distancing is still strictly implemented whenever inside mall premises and routine sanitation and disinfection is still in effect across all Vista Malls and Starmalls. Safety reminders are also regularly played through the malls’ PA systems prompting customers to practice self-discipline and take a more active role in safeguarding their health.

Given the current situation the nation is facing, Vista Mall is committed to keeping their malls clean and safe—giving people confidence that they can buy their necessities and complete important errands and tasks without having to worry about catching any germs or viruses that may lead to sickness.

Vista Mall is currently present in more than 30 locations nationwide, including Starmalls and premium shopping destinations, Evia Lifestyle Center at Vista Alabang and NOMO – A Vista Lifestyle Center at Bacoor City.
